Cover and Info for Captain Sulu Comic Book, Plus Deep Space Nine Issue 2

Comics Continuum posted a list of Star Trek comic books from IDW for January 2010, including the first issue of a Star Trek mini series titled Captain's Log, featuring a tale with Captain Hikaru Sulu. Here is the list, with cover images.

Deep Space Nine teeters on the brink of anarchy as swarms of treasure-hunters and mercenaries continue to flood the station. Major Kira and Constable Odo are on the case, and the investigation leads to a not-unexpected destination: Quark's Bar!

Stra Trek The Next Generation Ghosts #3

Written by Zander Cannon, art by Javier Aranda, cover by Joe Corroney.

With Worf captured and under threat of execution, Geordi, Troi, and Dr. Crusher race to get information that will exonerate him. Picard and Riker negotiate with Worf's captors, but the paranoid warlords continue to regard all outsiders as a threat, and launch a military attack on the ship under the Enterprise's protection.

Plus, on his blog IDW publisher Chris Ryall revealed the title of legendary writer/artist John Byrne's next Star Trek project : Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor, set between the TV series and The Motion Picture. Ryall also posted a page from Byrne's remake of the TOS episode "Balance of Terror" A larger image can be found at Ryall's blog.

Wow, I hope IDW do a Captain Riker issue featuring the crew of the USS Titan and a Captain Pike issue (maybe finishing the Early Voyages storyarc). This could be an awesome mini series.

And the DS9 comic is looking good !

    "New Frontier" entries with Calhoun, Shelby and Mueller would be fun, too.
