E! Online posted a new interview with Star Trek actress Zoe Saldana and here are few excerpts.

"We're working on it," Saldana said, regarding Star Trek XII. "They were calling to see where we were going to be and how my schedule is next year."

She smiled, "Just that was worth me doing a cartwheel when I got the phone call, because I cannot wait to put on the suit and go back to the Enterprise, take my shirt off and be with all those yummy guys."

Probably looking at options to film late 2010 / early 2011, and hold the film for release in summer 2012.

Abrams has to get Mi:IV ready first for 2011 release.

I honestly think it is still possible to film XII next year and release it in 2011. You have to remember that so much of the time-consuming work involved in casting the major characters, designing and building the sets, designing and creating the costumes and most of the other minutae is already done. Contrary to some opinions on here, a very solid script can be penned in a few months time. Giving someone an extra year won't neccessarily improve anything. 2012 is a long way away, I am still rooting for 2011. :)

I don't know. I think I'd REAALLY like to see the whole "take my shirt off" thing. Wait. She can still wear the skirt and boots without her shirt. Ok. Crisis averted.
