UGO posted a new interview with Star Trek writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and here are excerpts.

Jordan Hoffman: Okay, so sequel to Star Trek. You haven't even begun the script, yes?

Roberto Orci: Little vacation in July then we hit the ground running.

Jordan Hoffman: And everyone is giving you their two cents on what they want to see in the movie. Have you ever experienced this, where people have so many opinions on a script you haven't even written yet?

Alex Kurtzman: That is unique to Star Trek. That's what is so remarkable out it - the fans. The fan fiction, the community, the familiarity with the material.

Jordan Hoffman: Well, if my vote counts, I'd like to see a Ferengi in there. If I may give you my two strips of latinum.

Roberto Orci: A greedy Ferengi?

Jordan Hoffman: I would like to see a three dimensional Ferengi, someone like Quark, who is greedy, of course, but who also has a heart. I think you guys can pull that off.

Alex Kurtzman: Right on.

It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. The one thing that most impressed me about this movie, and it's not a "thing", but an idea, is how many layers of meaning there are to every scene, every line and to the movie's basic concept as a whole. That's the stuff great movies are made of.

Do you copy and paste that same long multi-paragraph pitch every time this subject comes up? No villian, a thing instead.. we get it.
