GateWorld posted a new interview with former Star Trek Voyager actor Robert Picardo, in which he talks about "Enemy at the Gate," the 100th episode of Stargate Atlantis which has been rigged to serve as the series finale. Here are few excerpts of the article - minor spoilers.

"I thought they pulled out all the stops for the finale," Picardo told GateWorld, "not only with different beloved characters in the Atlantis gallery that pop up, but I think it's a pretty spectacular one hour [with] three different storylines really hurtling toward the conclusion."

"It's going to have good action, great visuals, and it's got a nice little emotional punch at the end," Picardo said. "I think it was a very nice way to not only wrap up the series but to open the door to some television movies, because where we left off at the end it certainly begs the   question of what's next. I think it's a very well-crafted finale."

The full interview is here.

Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. STAR TREK VOYAGER's Robert Duncan McNeill serves Chuck as a supervising producer and director.0

Never really followed Stargate. Does this mean an end of all TV production for the franchise?

Hardly. Rating-wise, SGA could easily have continued, as could SG1. They, that is, the Sci-Fi net and the writers/producers of SGA want to intro a new series, STARGATE UNIVERSE, possibly to coincide with the SG game, if it gets off the ground, possibly because they seemed to be running out of ideas with SGA (which, though successful, never quite seemed to have the same charismatic touch that SG1 has). AND, both SG1 and SGA are continuing with movies. SG1 has already released two successful films that were intended, and did go direct to DVD, but will now be shown next year on SciFi. All this is common and not news, but that is all of it. The new SG series, SGU is scheduled to debut next summer. :)

No my friend, it is just the beginning.

They only pulled the plug on Atlantis in order to start their next TV series "Stargate: Universe" starring British star actor Robert Carlyle. It's gonna be more youth oriented than the previous two. But even SG-1 and SGA are far from over since there are at least two more TV/DVD movies in the works, one for SGA and one for SG1...

Stargate is far from over and if they ever decided to finish the entire TV franchise, there are already plans to revive the bigscreen franchise via ignoring the TV spin offs and starting right where the original movie had left us...again.
