Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. STAR TREK VOYAGER's Robert Duncan McNeill serves Chuck as a supervising producer and director.0

The sad thing is that after 45 years the "Star Trek" franchise will go out with a sickening thud and not a whimper.

Trek already went out with a sickening thud...it was called Enterprise. These Are The Voyages was our last look at that shriveled, decomposing corpse.

This new movie is trying to revive a dead franchise. Hopefully it will succeed; but if it fails to do so, the sad reality is that Trek had been driven into the ground a long time ago.

this project was sold as the great thing that would fix the franchise within continuity after Berman and Braga broke it.

Um...when was it ever sold as such?

Now, it is just clear that this will not work and the film will be a major disappointment for all.

How is that clear? Everything I've seen has looked awesome.

Gotta love that optimism. *rolls eyes*

Low blow. You compared me to Bill O'Reilly. But point taken.

I have my own anxieties but, in the end, we just have to wait and see how it all shakes out. If it's well received and pulls in $200 million this will be the future of Star Trek.
