Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. Quote from cdydatzigs:
This only backs up what I gathered from seeing the Enterprise in the teaser trailer -- that this film is (a) a visual reboot of the TOS-era only, every other aspect will follow canon.

That's what the cast and crew have been saying all along: The story is faithful to Original Series characters, but the production values reflect a 2008 movie budget. TOS simply couldn't afford such a technologically polished appearance.

The new bridge would look right at home in a remake of Forbidden Planet, which old-guard Star Trek fans generally regard as a prototype for TOS.

In the bridge photo with the captain's chair, Karl Urban and Chris Pine have uncannily captured the familiar body language of McCoy and Kirk, which indicates that the actors have grasped the internal lives that were given to the characters by DeForest Kelley and William Shatner. This goes beyond dialog in a script, in terms of respect for these iconic figures.

All good stuff.
