TrekMovie.com posted an extensive report with several photos of Star Trek movie stars Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto appearance at Creation's Las Vegas convention yesterday. Here are few excerpts of their report.

"There are so many moments in this movie that I think hard-core fans are just going to love." Quinto told the audience "If it is done the way I think it will be done, I think hearts will be in stomachs-it is this idea of seeing these characters in a different light. I have seen some of the movie. I have seen very rough sequences that JJ [Abrams] showed me. The one where you first sort of see Enterprise and you first sort of see the convergence of the crew of the Enterprise is a pretty profound moment for me."

Quinto asked if it was easy for Nimoy to return to the role of Spock, and Nimoy said "The thing that was difficult for me was my very first day on the movie, we have this complicated and very interesting scene together. And I didn't feel totally on my ground yet, particularly with this kind of scene. I had never played with another Spock before, it was weird."

It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. I've said it before, but the fact that Nimoy is involved should give us, at least, a shred of serenity concerning the film. Not because HE'S SPOCK, but because he's been pretty picky in the past concerning Star Trek. He almost didn't do TWOK. He didn't do Generations, period. But he his putting aside his new career of taking snapshots of obese nude women to do this movie.

If course, it could be primarily a "Spock" movie, which is why he would do it... but still.

Exactly. Nimoy has rarely, if ever sold out for the franchise. Even when he agreed to revive Spock in The Search for Spock, he only did so because he was given the chance to direct and contribute to the story. He didn't do Generations because his role was little more than a cameo -- therefore reducing the finality of Undiscovered Country, so his lines were given to Scotty instead. I avoid spoilers as much as I can, but even I know that Nimoy's role in the new film is pretty substantial. I doubt he would have accepted a role as an elderly Vulcan, sitting in his rocking chair in 2385 reminicing about old times via flashbacks.

Which, incidentally, left wide-open the possibility that Kirk lived on after Generations and at some point returned to his own time. Otherwise, Scotty wouldn't have been expecting to see him in "Relics."

We all know that Relics was written before Generations, and that's why Scotty's line made no sense. If we are going to imagine, pretend and subtext like crazy - then we can also assume that Scotty said what he did on the Enterprise-D transporter pad in jest.. meaning Kirk had cheated death so many times, he was "surprised" he wasnt standing there waiting.
