Alex Kurtzman Answers Question Regarding Nero - Minor Spoilers

By GustavoLeao / 10:04, 23 July 2008 / Star Trek: Nemesis

UGO posted a new interview with Star Trek movie co-writer Alex Kurtzman, in which he talks about Nero's make-up and ears, which does not look Romulan at all. Here is an excerpt from their article :

We asked Alex Kurtzman what was up with Nero's ears!  If you've seen the recently released Star Trek poster, you've seen Eric Bana, who is allegedly playing a Romulan, with what looks like war paint or a tattoo on his face and NO POINTY EARS.  What kind of a Romulan doesn't have pointy ears?  "Nero isn't necessarily a Romulan," Kurtzman said, but wouldn't give anything further than that.  He simply smiled and said, "It's all part of the plot."

Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. Yeah, he's a clone of Pike! But the Romulans ended up not using him to infiltrate Starfleet so he ended up becoming a slave on Romulus! The he rose to power as the first human Praetor, but started aging rapidly so he needed Pike's blood to stabilize himself.

Shinz...Nero kills Pike and Ensign Kirk is promoted about four ranks at once to become the youngest captain in the fleet.

Awesome!
