Hollywoodoutbreak blog posted an audio interview with Star Trek movie producer and director J.J. Abrams. Here is a transcript of the interview, courtesy of Sci Fi Pulse.

"Right not we have a cut of the movie which has about 12% of the visual FX near done - but the movie is working and that's what seems exciting to me." Abrams said "What's amazing about the movie is the people are awesome. The characters are alive and they're great and you love them. Alex [Kurtzman] and Bob [Orci] wrote an amazing script and our amazing actors make it more amazing. It is really like... you know the fun of watching Zachary Quinto take on a role like Spock which is an incredibly deceptively complicated part. When you see the whole performance - there were things he was doing that I didn't even see or realise he was doing when we were making the movie - and to have Chris Pine come in and embrace this role of Kirk in a way that is so complete and emotional and funny and cocky and yet vulnerable. It's a wonderful thing. That to me is where I think the best news is. You need that to tell this story and it works. I think it is a testament to this movie."

The original report can be found at Sci Fi Pulse.

That's a great link, but I was momentarily scrambling for my suitcase because tomorrow is a premiere party for the new Victoria's Secret Pink(TM) line for college apparel, to which I am indirectly attached. I won't be attending this star-studdedly superfluous soiree because work once again calls louder. BUT, if I were to have missed Zach "The New Spock" Quinto because I didn't accept the VIP invite, I'd NEVER have forgiven myself for the near miss.

Also, at the risk of sounding incredibly un-Robertson Ave./West Hollywood, what/who the hell is "Pink" in this context??
