J.J. Abrams Defends His Secrecy Regarding the New Star Trek Movie

Features

By GustavoLeao / 16:24, 3 June 2008 / Star Trek: Nemesis

According to a brief article at Jossip.com, Star Trek movie director J.J. Abrams finds himself at odds with rabid Trek fans who want to know "every gory detail about a movie that's still a year away."

He respects their hunger, but is convinced they are better off waiting until May 8, 2009. "Learning raw detail and experiencing that detail as it was intended are two totally different things," he says. "I would argue that not knowing those details in advance is a more refreshing way to live when it comes to entertainment."

Yes, JJ is correct. Hold off on the details. I also agree that the trailer should be random clips, even out takes so nothing is given away. So many movies now are encapsulated within that 2 minute trailer, it is not worth going to see. Live and love the suspense.
