Features

By GustavoLeao / 14:38, 30 May 2008 / Star Trek: Nemesis

JoBlo.com posted new exclusive spy photos from the set of J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Trek movie.

According to the site "These are some pics from the set of Starfleet Academy. The location is California State University of Northridge and the school library is being used as a... well, school. This shows some nice costumes and art design. During filming, all the extras run over to the right side of the field, to the blue screen and point, as if something big crashes."

You can find the photos here.

Why is 1701's insignia hanging on the campus street lights?

The arrowhead is part of various Starfleet insignia.

Sure, AFTER TOS in the movies era. Isn't this supposed to be some sort of prequel?

Check Omega Glory (Exeter), The Ultimate Computer (Lexington), The Tholian Web (Defiant), and The Doomsday Machine (Constellation). Look at the insignias of the captains/commodores/crewmen shirts. It would follow that each ship had their own insignia and the delta was simply the Enterprise's, yes?

1) Hang the Enterprise delta likeness as a motivator to all cadets (Yes - you can serve on the fleets flagship and wear this insignia if your good enough! So study hard pleebs...)

Or

2) Just sweep this part of canon right out the window for the for the 'benefit-of-future-trekkers-we're-trying-to-attract-to-see-this-movie' because it's too much/too detailed for them to handle. (And if it's one thing that we are, it's that we're a stickler for details, no?)

Oh, and Dr. Frasier. You want a stupid comment? A stupid comment from me would more than likely start with "Your momma and definitely involve some form of anal vapor". That would be a stupid comment. But we don't need that, right?

Surely it has to make sense once we see the movie.

Rejick
The evil one.
