Welland Tribune posted an exclusive interview with Stargate Atlantis actor Paul McGillion, who has a cameo role in the upcoming Star Trek movie prequel. Here are few excerpts from the article.

"It does feel huge," he said recently about the Trek movie.

McGillion is thrilled to be part of the Star Trek franchise.

"It's something I'll look back on and say, 'That was neat to be part of that.' It's like being in a 'Star Wars' movie or something - even if you're in a little bit of it, it's a little part of history."

Regarding director J.J. Abrams, he said  "I can't say enough good things about what a terrific guy (Abrams) is. He came up to me immediately and said, 'Paul, thank you so much for doing this - I wish I had something bigger, but we just wanted to have you part of this movie."'

The full interview is here.

Nope, this is new stuff. There was a similar interview with him some time ago, but I think TrekWeb did not post it.

Deja vu indeed.
