Here are the first images of the remastered version of the second season TOS episode "By Any Other Name", which airs this weekend in the U.S.

The first image shows the Starship Enterprise, hijacked by the Kelvans, streaks toward the distant Andromeda Galaxy.

In the second image, you can see an Enterprise landing party to a planet near the edge of the galaxy. The planetscape features an all-new matte painting made especially for the remastered version of episode, wrote Michael Okuda at Slice of SciFi.

Larger versions of the images can be found at Slice of SciFi and TrekMovie.com.

pre-empted AGAIN | Report this post to moderator

I'm getting really tired of the local station, KPDX 49, which airs this show in Portland/Vancouver. The series is scheduled to be shown at 10:00pm Saturday nights, and several times now has been pre-empted for other programing. Last night, I tuned to this station to watch one of my favorite episodes only to find a Lenny Krazitz concert on. I checked the station website and it had Star Trek listed for the time slot, but TV Guide.com had the concert, so obviously the scheduling change was made far enough in advance that TV Guide got ahold of it.

This is what happens when far-off media giants back east by up independently-owned stations in towns where they have no business being.

I thought we'd see the landmower guy in the background. Look at this wonderful turf!!!

The chick in this one is so hot, I can't wait to see her in the remastered version! That new planetscape looks great. I also like the scene where Scotty gets drunk with the Kelvan. "It's green."

By the way, is this the only time we see Scotty's quarters?

Barbara Bouchet is indeed very hot!

A quick google search demonstrates how this Kelvan woman fully appreciated the potential of her humanoid body...and so do we!

I don't remember seeing Scotty's quarters in any other episode.

I also like the fight scene with Rojan in the galley when Spock and McCoy walk in just as Kirk is pushed near the door and they push him back in.

    "I'm stimulating him!"

These are the trips of the Star Trek Enterprise. Its five year plan calls for us to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly fly where no man has gone in space. Live long, and be happy."
