HeraldSun.com.au posted a new interview with actor Eric Bana, in which he talks briefly about the role of Nero, the Romulan villain from the upcoming Star Trek movie prequel. Here is an excerpt from the article.

According to the site, Bana described the role as a cameo. "It's just a great character, it's J.J. Abrams. It's a really well-written script, great part. Couldn't say no. I don't actually look at the size of parts ever."

The full interview can be found here.

He will be Future Guy. His comments in a article all but confirms this. A brief limited role that is like a cameo that will set the tone of the film and plotin motion. What better person to do this that Future Guy.His limited role could mean all he does is stand on a temporal transporter to give orders in alternative timelines to kill Kirks parents or Kirk to disrupt the Federation. That is all it would take.

I was wondering that too. I am not sure what he means by "cameo". I wonder if he tries to kill Kirk, then when someone stops him, he vanishes and heads off to another timeline and try again? I am very intrigued. In any event, it sounds like everyone involved is jazzed about the movie and story. That is a very good sign, IMHO.
