HeraldSun.com.au posted a new interview with actor Eric Bana, in which he talks briefly about the role of Nero, the Romulan villain from the upcoming Star Trek movie prequel. Here is an excerpt from the article.

According to the site, Bana described the role as a cameo. "It's just a great character, it's J.J. Abrams. It's a really well-written script, great part. Couldn't say no. I don't actually look at the size of parts ever."

The full interview can be found here.

You're welcome to it. But I'd rather watch HBO's Rome for my antiquities fix. That and reading Anthony Everitt's excellent nonfiction books on Cicero and Augustus Caesar. Troy was a bit too modern Hollywood for me. The real thing would have been more interesting. Or how 'bout a modern CGI retelling of Virgil's Aeneid. Peter Jackman should make that his next movie trilogy. I'm still waiting for that!
