HeraldSun.com.au posted a new interview with actor Eric Bana, in which he talks briefly about the role of Nero, the Romulan villain from the upcoming Star Trek movie prequel. Here is an excerpt from the article.

According to the site, Bana described the role as a cameo. "It's just a great character, it's J.J. Abrams. It's a really well-written script, great part. Couldn't say no. I don't actually look at the size of parts ever."

The full interview can be found here.

How is Shatner the big ego over it all, when Abrams never showed him the script and never offered him a role?

There is only one reason Shatner isn't in the movie--Abrams doesn't want him in it. The Generations excuse doesn't cover up for this debacle.
