CBS 2 in Los Angeles has posted a video interview with Leonard Nimoy, which aired this Friday and Nimoy also talked about returning to the role of Spock in the new Star Trek movie. Beware of spoilers.

"I was able to identify with the inner life of that character and I think that's the most important thing that I could bring to it," he said.

"I am Spock, and there is another Spock and there is another Spock. There are a total of three Spocks in the movie and that is all I will say about it." Nimoy revealed

Watch the whole "raw" web extra video interview at CBS2.com.

Maybe it's Nimoy Spock, Quinto Spock, and kid Spock? | Report this post to moderator

They did say the movie was going to jump different time-frames and considering we're going to see Kirk's parents even BEFORE Kirk is born, we're likely to see a kid Kirk before Chris Pine's version.

This reminds me a bit of the beginning of Superman I (kid Clark, teenage Clark, then adult Clark) and some of the flashbacks in Superman Returns.

So kid Spock is my vote for the 3rd spock.

It's weird; Leonard Nimoy, in the ST:III DVD commentaries, said that he was really concerned with having the younger versions of Spock played out by different actors. His main concern being if the audience would buy it or not. I am amazed Nimoy, after saying that, has complete confidence in this production. Mind you, I think Nimoy was just being very critical of himself at that time because of the fact that he was directing the movie. In the end, I still don't doubt Nimoy's confidence in Abrams and the writing team.

Seriously,I am curious. On a scale of 1 to 10, how big is the spoiler? With "1" being a minor spoiler already known to the general public, and 10 being a massive movie ruiner, could someone please rate the spoiler? I am interested but do not want to read...

I didn't get anything out of it! It does raise a question, but I wouldn't call it a spoiler of anything.

Thank You. Since you gave it a 3, I went ahead and ead it. You were right... Not too much of anything. I am trying to be careful of too many spoilers. Trekweb should have a Spoiler rating system for things like this...

      1 Lite Spoilers
      2 Minor Spoilers
      3 Significant Spoilers
      4 Major Spoilers
      5 Crucial Spoilers

I completely agree with a rating system. Good idea!

Here's what I'd suggest as rating mnemonics:

        Class M: Lite Spoilers
        Unimatrix 01: Spoilers
        Mark III: Significant Spoilers
        Type 2: Major Spoilers
        Warp 9: Crucial Spoilers

        Huh?

        or

Young Spock, Old Spock: Lite Spoilers
        Romulans!!!: Spoilers
        Time Travel: Significant Spoilers
        Shatner is in!!!: Major Spoilers
        Kirk dies again!!!: Crucial Spoilers

or what about a color code?

        Red Shirt:Lite spoilers
        Medical Blue: Spoilers
        Science Blue:Significant spoilers
        Command Yellow: Major Spoilers
        Captain's Wraparound Green: Crucial Spoilers

Or, we could go with StarFleet Captain's version, you know...
