The U.S.S. Enterprise is dispatched to observe a Quark Gluon Plasma experiment at the Gemini Science Station-in orbit between two suns-in an effort to learn more about the beginning of the universe. But the formation of a black hole from the experiment's outcome means eminent danger for Spock and Dr. McCoy who are stranded on the debilitated science station. Alien Spotlight and Year Four are two excellent Star Trek comics mini series. Kudos for IDW for producing quality Star Trek. And yeah, the covers are awesome.
