It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. Here's the link to the StarTrek.com story on Urban being cast. Also of interest, the story mentions that Christopher Pike is in the film and has not yet been cast.

You make a good point that doesn't get mentioned here very often (hmmm, I wonder why?)

In the real world, as most know, producers try to appeal to as many demos as possible. The "chick" factor (HIS WORDS ANY IRATE FEMALE POSTERS! lol) is a good example not always considered in a Star Trek film (ala Conan's "disdain" for the Star Trek lovin' virgin..c'mon, you know the guy's a closet watcher. The other night an alarm went off in the studio by accident and his first reaction? He yells "Red Alert!" And, yes, it DID sound like a TOS sound.)

Remember fans: In Hollywood, the bottom line is the bottom line.

I don't care what "they" say..... "THERE...ARE....FOUR....LIGHTS!"
