The more I've watched these remakes, and now looking at these and other still shoot, the more "rushed" they look. The E looks like a moving mat shot or painting that pans by the camera. I was reminded of this more when I watched an episode of "Enterprise" recently on SciFi and how detailed her hull...the lighting/shadowing, etc. as she approached a planet to orbit...how "real" she looked.

I suppose they are just taking the old FX up a knotch, but, heck if you're gonna spend the time-like I've said in this forum many times before-where's the WOW factor?

I think an "etherial" bluish gas could be swirling around the outside to give it that old style glowing and maybe some small energy arcs here and there as if there's power OUTSIDE of it as well...
