Star Trek star William Shatner revealed more about his recent meeting with Star Trek XI producer J.J. Abrams at a fan convention in Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday night (Nov. 11). He was talking about the film Generations when he made this comment.

"I had a talk with J.J. Abrams a while ago and they were writing a new script – and we are all hoping it will be wonderful." Shatner told the audience "And he said, they were going to get the Kirk and Spock characters in there. And I said, "How will you do that, I'm dead." (laughter). I said, "That's a problem." So, they are wrestling with that death, OK."

Thanks to 'Ray Kelly' for the submission.

Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. STAR TREK VOYAGER's Robert Duncan McNeill serves Chuck as a supervising producer and director.0

Here is what will transpire, mark my word: The film will take place in the 24th century (or early 25th, which is plausible) after the events of Nemesis. It is clear Spock will have a large role in talks between the Federation and Romulans (he might even meet Pardak in this one). There will be a reason for Spock to contact Kirk for some matter of galactic importance, hence, he will devise a way (he is Spock of course) to go to the Nexus and there the movie will have its scenes with Kirk and Spock, provided Shatner and Nimoy sign up. Then, of course, we will have the flashbacks to the Academy with Matt Damon strutting around in that glittery shirt with the christmas ornament on it, and some other bloke with pointy ears...voila, Star Trek XI..
