Sci Fi Wire posted a brief interview with former XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS star Lucy Lawless, in which he talks about he upcoming guest role in the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA second season episode "Final Cut". In the episode, Lawless plays reporter D'Anna Friel, who gets unlimited access to film aboard Galactica and documents the stress of military life during wartime.

"We were shooting video, and they are using footage that I and my crew actually shot," Lawless said in an Aug. 16 telephone interview from the set of the TV movie VAMPIRE BATS, which she is currently shooting in New Orleans. "It was really exciting, worrying about the camera angle you are getting, and you were truly being your character and fully concerned about shooting the footage. It was like shooting a movie within a movie."

Lawless said that she wasn't familiar with the series before she landed the role, but said that she was impressed with the show's universe. "The sets weren't all shiny, like the previous BATTLESTAR GALACTICA," she said. "They were grungy and all beaten up. It has that post-apocalyptic rawness. It's genius."

CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. Why not Serina? | Report this post to moderator
By: John (Odo's file, contact) @ 16:23:41 on Aug 17, 2005

If you go back tot he oringinal BG pilot, Serina was a tv news service reporter. Since everything else is changed in this version, why not give Lucy's character that name?

Serina was kind of a pointless charicter on that show I always thought. She didn't really serve a purpose other than do give Apollo a son, give him grief every so often. Besides, they don't have to bring back EVREYONE from the original show.
