Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. STAR TREK VOYAGER's Robert Duncan McNeill serves Chuck as a supervising producer and director.0

Hey, that guy from Trekkies 1 and 2 (Gabe Koerner I think?) who posts here once in a while should do it! Now that would be worth watching! He lives in LA too, I think.

Hah! Wouldn't it be fun? Unfortunately, I don't own a home, and I doubt my apartment community would sanction actual structural permanant changes to the living space. :)

That and ::sigh:: being married tames one. :) If you walked into my home its all Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel, you'd never know I lived there, except for the home office space shrouded by the few, more cherished Trek pieces I've retained over the years.

Career and marriage certainly put one's mind in a different place as a fan, but it ain't about stuff. A lot of people in this country and abroad can't afford 'stuff'. I'm not a bigger Trekker than X because I've got more stuff in my room. Its about the common love and sense of community.

Yeah, its just a TV show. But few TV shows have spawned cultures. One upmanship certainly doesn't belong in this particular community. (that having been said, you nitpick my TNG Enterprise CG model from TATV, you dead, fool. :)

So nah, I don't need a Star Trek room. Being fingered for an adolescant obesession with Star Trek gave me work and notoriety. (y'know, if you're thinking of going somewhere with the above sentence, don't). It has given me a conversational 'in' with people on levels I wouldn't normally interact with.

I'll give back by using Star Trek as inspiration, and not a crutch, which is the fanboy temptation which I and I presume many others have nearly succumb.

And I shouldn't post when I'm friggin drunk (and high)
    after the 'Serenity' wrap party.

if this would be open to a fan who still lives at his parents house? Either could get your basement made up, or if you live above the garage, perhaps you could get that room made up and the garage doors to open like the shuttle bay!

This is the second time this is being tried though, about four years ago on Monster House, 1st season, they put the word out to do a Star Trek house-- that fell through as the fatigue started to set in.

Is Steve a shoe-in? | Report this post to moderator

I sure as heck wouldn't be, considering that 1) I've yet to own a home and 2) the contest is only open to the LA Area! Seriously, why would a national "network" announce a contest that's only open to one market!? Gaah!!

Because that's where the TV show is made, and it doesn't have the budget to transport its entire crew and equipment all the way across the country.

"Serenity" is the movie "Star Wars" prequels wish they could be.

A clear sign of franchise fatigue if I've ever seen one.

I betcha Berman is sitting talking with Braga over a glass of wine right now saying "Jesus Brannon! WE should have done that! Think of the ratings!"
