UPN doesn't care about men anymore. They've been trying to distance themselves from the males for a long time, hence ENT suffered.

...but it is still something of a whimper, especially considering it did get a decent amount of press. DS9 and Voyager more than doubled this performance.

DS9 got 5.4 million viewers and VOY 7 million, the big Voyager increase was about the crew would get home or not.

You notice how they actually advertised for these episodes, and their ratings went up? Imagine that![/sarcasm]

So as Enterprise goes out it's rating spike to UPN highs across the board [well if 3.80 is high, ask NBC or ABC].
Too bad they didn't hype the show [or give a better time slot!] before they canned it.
I'm sure the suits at UPN will suddenly discover Star Trek can deliver ratings but will put Star Trek on w/ a twist.
Each week will be the series finally!
Oh yes I can see it now.

well i didnt see ONE enterprise commercial. Not one. I think what did it more than anything is the weeklong tribute that CNN had.

It's a sure-fire winner! Look, it worked this time!

These ratings stink. It's like someone who scored a 26 on a test out of 100 and brags about getting up to a 56. You're still a failure. The show still went out with a terrible whimper.

And half-hour sitcomes like Raymond garner 32.2 million viewers. Notice that it's on CBS, part of Viacom, part of Paramount, part of UPN. Strange isn't it.

Yes, well, star trek is (using the line they used back when they cancelled TOS) "too cerebral" for most of the people that watch all those crappy sitcoms, and unfortunately the suits at paramount and viacom are well aware of the plain and simple fact that...
