"Demons" in ENTERPRISE's Future - First Plot Details of Possible Moon Story (SPOILERS)

Features

By Steve Krutzler / 07:27, 27 January 2005 / Enterprise

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE executive producer Manny Coto has said that we'd be seeing some stories closer to home toward the end of the season and new plot information for the episode "Demons" confirms just that. In the episode, the twentieth of the season, Enterprise returns to Earth's solar system to take part in a conference.

While there, Mayweather encounters an old friend and possible past love, a twenty-something woman by the name of 'Gannet Brooks'. Appropriately enough considering her name, she's a 22nd century journalist, presumeably covering this conference. She's eager to "catch up" with her old pal but Mayweather is a little hesitant.

Meanwhile, menacing details unfold as the leader of a secret mining facility quite possibly on the Moon (judging by the views of Earth out his window) monitors the progress of biological experiments on a unique patient. The health of the patient seems of paramount importance but the man is anything but caring for the child -- an infant with pointed ears and a name tag reading "Tucker."

What does all this add up to? The third-to-last episode of the year, and possibly the entire series. This information is preliminary, of course, and should be treated as rumor until confirmed by official channels.

It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. STAR TREK VOYAGER's Robert Duncan McNeill serves Chuck as a supervising producer and director.0

The only son they've "had" was from "E2". But Lorien ended up - honestly, no one really knows what ended up happening to Lorien. Died? Erased from time?

Either way, I think the poster was suggesting that this would be a follow-up to the "quickie" Trip and T'Pol had in "Harbinger". (Or perhaps, that's not what they were referencing...)

Either way, there's always the possibility that it's more Romulan involvement. The Rommies have their pointed ears too.

Still, I look forward to returning to our solar system.
