First Photos From Special Sets Built For "In a Mirror, Darkly" (SPOILERS)

Features

By Steve Krutzler / 17:31, 25 January 2005 / Enterprise

As previously reported, "In a Mirror, Darkly" will take STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE into the mirror universe first visited in ST:TOS's "Mirror, Mirror." Many fan films in recent years have revisted the classic TREK era and now ENTERPRISE is about to venture back to the future itself. Large portions of these episodes will involve action on the U.S.S. Defiant from the TOS episode "The Tholian Web," which apparently arrived in the 22nd century mirror universe when it vanished in the classic episode.

As a Constitution Class ship, the Defiant was identical to the classic Starship Enterprise, and the ENTERPRISE production team has been tasked with recreating many sets. The episodes began production this week at Paramount and SaveEnterprise.com has published several photographs fresh from the lot.

SaveEnterprise urges all fans to express their support for the fifth STAR TREK series in letters to UPN and CBS president Leslie Moonves, and to contribute to the group's efforts to raise money to place a USA Today ad showing fan support for a fifth season of the show. You can write Moonves at:

Nov 23Chuck returns to NBC with a special two-hour show on Sunday, Jan 10, 2010, before returning to its regular time slot, Mondays at 8pm on the following night. It's return to prime time television can be attributed to a successful fan renewnal campaign last year. CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights. The Defiant crosses dimensions and goes back in time empty, since the crew killed each other just before "The Tholian Web". Which raised a good question; if the ship settles in the alternate 22nd century whole, won't it be filled with about 430 dead bodies?

"Outer Space: The Last Frontier.
These are the trips of the Star Trek Enterprise. Its five year plan calls for us to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly fly where no man has gone in space. Live long, and be happy."
