By Steve Krutzler / 11:44, 24 August 2004 / TrekWeb Features

Update 8/31: Frank Pepito of Harbor City, California is the winner of the TREKKIES 2 DVD and tribbles! Congrats, Frank, and thanks for visting TrekWeb!

TrekWeb is pleased to team with the folks at Paramount Home Entertainment and TREKKIES 2 to offer a free copy of the documentary sequel on DVD.

In this sequel to TREKKIES, the filmmakers visited STAR TREK fans all over the world including the 'Spock' of Germany, an Englishman who transformed his flat into a starship and listed it on the Internet for $2 million, and the first convention ever held in Serbia. The film also checks in on some of the original Trekkies profilees like wunderkind Gabriel Koerner and alternate Whitewater Juror Barbara Adams.

Directed by Roger Nygard, the DVD of the film will feature commentary with Nygard, Denise Crosby, Mike Leahy, and composers J.J. Holiday and Billy Sullivan. The extra features also include seventeen deleted scenes from around the world, as well as three fan films including a clip of Gabrie Koerner's REALLY BAD STAR TREK.

TrekWeb will give a copy of the new DVD and two tribble toys to a lucky winner, to be announced next Tuesday, August 31st, when the movie is officially released on DVD.

To enter, simply send an email to contests@trekweb.com. Be sure your return address works (or you specify another in the message body) because that's how we'll contact the winner. Sorry, but we can only accept U.S. and Canadian entries for this contest.

You can return to TrekWeb and enter once per day through next Monday, August 30th. You can learn more about the TREKKIES 2 DVD in this TrekWeb article.

CHUCK is a one-hour, action-comedy series that follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. This upcoming season will include some special guest stars, including Brandon Routh of "Superman Returns" who will play CIA agent Daniel Shaw in an episode, and the addition of SUBWAY restaurant as a major advertiser to the show. Chuck averaged a 4.0/6 rating last season, about eight percent better than the recently cancelled "Trauma". Ratings-challenged Heroes moves back an hour when Chuck returns on Monday nights.
