Personally, I think it's time for Viacom/Paramount to go for broke, and do a balls to the wall, all out Nine hour LOTR style Trek Trilogy of epic proportions. The epic saga would be about the downfall of the Federation. It would be action intense full of drama, grit, and psychological conflict. These movies would be borderline "R" rated...because of all the bloody waristic grit and such. Something really huge and monumental.

Maybe have the mirror universe launch a Pearl Harbor style sneak attack invasion upon the real universe, with James T. Kirk at helm, obliterating every Federation ship they come across...and then going after the Klingon Empire. Of course, you'd have to have Spock in it too...on the side of the defiant ones. And this time...the Romulans, Vulcans, Andorians, Cardasians, and maybe the Gorn. would have to ban together to destroy the Mirror Universe Federation threat. It would be a huge Galactic war.

I dunno...I just think something like that would be very interesting to see. Of course, it would have to be very character driven and emotional as well. There would be much emotional conflict between Kirk and Spock. These would have to be very moving scenes. Maybe have the destruction of the Federation and Klingon Empire take place within the first three hours. The second three hours could be about resistance groups and such, story/character development, and formation of alliances...things like that. The third and final three hours would be about various races banning together to rid themselves of the mirror universe threat. Maybe even see "Borg" mirror universe characters (Wouldn't they be good instead of bad?)

I dunno, what do ya'll think?

JOKE OF THE CENTURY!!!

When asked how Gene Roddenberry would feel, about Berman's handling of Trek...since his death. Berman responded, "I think he'd be very pleased. I think he'd be proud of what we're doing."
