Do We Need a New Visionary like Gene Roddenberry For Star Trek ?

as you all know that the star trek come out during the period when first efforts are made our scientist to reach out to space.also people were simply used to watch simple and easy show. which dont have so much complexities. at that time seeing star trek like phenomena created by Gene Roddenbery on tv was just out of this world experience. and one thing also their was no INTERNET oh yeah no information channel through which we can get information on a blink of a eye. and then it happened the space race started. which brought to our attention the importance of universe and different anomolies that could exist to a very smaller level. at that time the vision of star trek was really far fetched and some of the concepts like warp drive and matter energy conversion and phasers on stun looks that is too much fantasy but thats what kept it going because the vision was very much farfetched and it followed that unknown factor. as the time progressed we all know that within the period of the star trek The next generation the science technology was so much progressed that we cant have imagined surely the second generation or the next geneartion of the star trek consist certain most radical things technologies of 24th century that is an artificial fully funtional commander working on an enterprise. a transphasic shield. etc etc. but this only the improvement on the previous technology and it went out through out the series. with the increase in the information flow and channeling their are now so many permutation and combination of a technologies that its becoming difficult to predict the unpredictable. as we know anything that happens in any part of the world can now be know like a though process of your mind. and its increasing. what i am trying to say that the vision of star trek need to be explored in a new way and in a radical concept. as these concepts are made kept in mind regarding to the end of this century or the next one. we need a very serious visionist like Gene Rodenberry in this Century to show us the path to the next century and comming one. truely who thinking defines the what is that is out their ? what is unpredictable ? something we all need and cannot be guessed............. my guess is their are people out their we simply need to focus on them. their concepts are simply radical we must find them and bring their vision to bring the ray of hope to star trek. as they to boldy go where no one has gone before....... some of them do exist here one of them is STEPHEN HAWKINS, ARTHUR C CLARKE, ALVIN TOFLER........... and many many more. tell me what you think about it.
