Would B4 be as bad if... | Report this post to moderator

...Assuming that there will be a sequel and that Spiner will reprise his role...

Would the character B4 and his subsequent use in resurrecting Data be as bad if Ambassador Spock (Leonard Nimoy would reprise his famous role) were to return in order to guide B4/Data through the resurrection process?

It would be understood that Spock is an expert on the subject, having "died" himself. He would play a mentor to B4/Data, training the android and redeveloping his positronic mind.

Think of the other benefits: it would be an excellent chance to have a crossover, composite cast without having to create some far out, wacky scenario to get all the series' characters together.

Two of the most beloved characters in Star Trek together. That would be great.

The only issue is getting Spiner and Nimoy to commit. They are the most notoriously difficult actors when it comes to signing them up for a movie role.

Note: This would be only one plot thread of two (maybe three), not the entire movie, just as Spock's resurrection was only one plot thread of ST:III and a subplot of ST:IV.
