My Terminator 3 REVIEW in a nut shell.. | Report this post to moderator

Well, I found out that my theater had a special midnight advanced showing of T3. Thus, I got to see the flick a wee bit early.

T3 is a very good and entertaining, non stop roller coaster ride, of action and excitement!!! The special effects are amazing!!! CGI is used alot, however it was not as noticible as it was in Matrix: Reloaded. As a matter of fact, Terminator 3 has a chase scene that blows the chase scene in Matrix Reloaded away!!! The T3 chase scene rocked!!! Very very great!!! Overall, I think the movie was very well made, and clearly conceptualized! It's a worthy addition to the Terminator franchise!!! You should definitely go see it!!! It is worth the money...and you will not regret the experience.

Now for what's on everyone's mind.

Does Arnold still have it??? Hell YES!!!! The man rocks! He is the TERMINATOR!!! I just wish he would have used Hasta Le'vista Baby during his last scene. Watch the movie, and you'll understand what I'm talking about. But Arnold did say, "I'll be back!" in this movie, and I believe he will be.

Is T3 as good as T2??? No...but it is very good. A very close second. T2 was more groundbreaking visually than T3. And it had better character development and back story as another poster stated. But as I said...a very close second. I can't wait to see this one again!!!

Do they have the terminator theme music in it? Yes, at the very end unfortuantely. Another gripe of mine, they should have had it at the beginning. :-)

Is the TX more of a bad ass than the T-1000??? Hell no!!! I think the T-1000 could take the TX any day. Although the TX was a bad ass in her own right...she's got lots of cool attributes, and is kind of an "anti-terminator" terminator. :-) I'd like to see a sequel to this where the TX squares off against a T-1000. Now that would be awesome!

Did director Jonathan Mostow do a good job with T3??? Well, let's face it...Jonathan Mostows is defintely no James Cameron. But he does have his own unique style, that did come across quite well. Overall, he did do a good job. I just wish they would have done the TX's introduction better...that's one of my gripes about this movie.

In a nut shell, T3 has opened up the door to a whole new fresh approach to sequels galore. If this movie does good at the box office. Definitely count on a T4 or T5. Lots of potential for sequel spin offs...that wouldn't even need Arnold in them at all (Yep I said that). I won't elaborate too much on that...because it would spoil the ending. But go see the movie, and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Now for the things that disapointed me...and probably will disapoint you too!!!

Terminator theme music not played during the beginning of the movie like T2...but it was played at the end.

Arnold's impact was not nearly as moving as it was in T2. At the end of T2 when Arnold died...I felt emotional. T3 should have been about 30 minutes longer, so they could have incorporated more character development for Arnold. Like how in T2 when they were pulling bullets out of Arnold's back...or scenes where Arnold was learning to be more human and such. Things like that should have been included in this movie. The movie would have been much more emotional if they would have done that. Dmnit!!! It needed more character development!

Nick Stall's John Connor was good...but there were a few scenes where he acted pretty bad...there by ruining the emotional effect of the scene.

TX didn't seem as bad ass as the T-1000. Although she was pretty damn tough.

They needed bigger guns! Arnold had huge bad ass guns in T2. He did not really have any huge bad ass guns in this film...except one during the graveyard scene. But not like T2. They needed bigger guns!!!

They should have elaborated more on the whole Skynet thing (watch the movie to understand what I'm talking about). They needed more structure in the story in regards to this aspect.

Oh yeah...and the huge disapointment of the movie is that we do not get to see Kristanna Loken naked. Not even a breast shot!!! What a huge let down! Damn...I had very high expectations for her intro too. :-)

Ok with all that aside...if you want a huge spoiler...just re-read the film's title. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. :-) That's all I can say for now.

I can't wait for T4!!! Go see this movie!!! You'll love it!!!

JOKE OF THE CENTURY!!!

When asked how Gene Roddenberry would feel, about Berman's handling of Trek...since his death. Berman responded, "I think he'd be very pleased. I think he'd be proud of what we're doing."
