I'd be cautious about sounding the propaganda

They cast Timothy Bottoms as the President. He's most famous for playing Bush in Comedy Central's early-2001 series "That's My Bush," from the creators of South Park. I've even seen better impressionists, both in terms of mannerism and physical appearance. For my money the guy they have on The Tonight Show is pretty good.

But regardless of who else I think they could pick, I don't think if the Bush campaign/administration had any control -- or even influence -- over the content they would have let a guy who's only known for making fun of the President play the President in a sober movie depicting the events that basically redefined his entire administration and how he was perceived by the public. What next, a DNC-funded biopic of Bill Clinton starring Darrel Hammond? Or casting Darrell Hammond as Dick Cheney in this film, for that matter?
