TrekWeb Influence
By HotStove

I'm not surprised that Nimoy and/or Paramount chose to post here. Remember, for every one person that posts here there are probably a couple dozen that don't. TrekWeb is not a fly-by-night Trek web site either: Back in the late 1990's, Ron Moore would host question-and-answer sessions concerning DS9 here that were phenomenally entertaining.

If nothing else, Paramount and Abrams recognize the power of the internet, and Mr. Nimoy's post is another cog in the P.R. machine. Nothing wrong with that - I like being catered to!

As to the veracity of Mr. Nimoy's post: Besides that infamously funny "Bilbo Baggins" video he put out in the 70's, I've never seen him do any bad work. From "Golda", to "Vincent", even "Three Men and a Baby", he seems to care about his craft. My $10 movie ticket says he's right, and I'm looking forward to this new "Trek", especially since he's involved.
