Scotty & Trans Warp??
By MOJO

Well, from my memory of Trans Warp, Scotty scoffed at the idea of it, in TSFS...also, as someone else posted, transporters had been in use already, back on Archer's Enterprise, and, the man that invented that technology, I forget his name, but, he was a friend of Archer's...remember the episode of Enterprise that was based on him?
While I realize this is a new take on Trek, I hope they don't try to make it as if transporting has not yet been effectivly and regularly in use, while, to me, and, many other "old" Trek fans, it would not fit in with what we already know, (JJ did say he was making this for the new fans...but, still...)I guess the new fans wouldn't care, or even, realize the great inconsistency. It would change alot, to me, but, whatever they do, I only hope it's good.
Also...I have not heard of any scene with old and young Spock, although, I am sure I read somewhere that the two have a scene together. From what I am reading here and there, I am staring to think that they do not, that old Spock accomplishes his objectives through young Kirk, and Scotty, to some degree. Which, is also fine by me. One final thought...not that it really matters, as it seems this movie will not follow any true canon, as they say, so, this is irrelevant, but, anyway, from what I know...Enterprise was supposed to take place about 100 years BEFORE Kirk and crew were flying around the Galaxy. If so, then, Archer, would be somewhere around 150 years old?? And, Porthos...his beagle, would be over 100 as well...but, I suppose, it could be another beagle, one of many, Archer got over the years, or, a clone, perhaps...I don't know, just thinking about all the little stuff that doesn't seem to fit.
I guess, at the end of the day, all that matters is that the movie is good, has a strong plot, (from the few scenes I have seen, the acting appears very strong, so, I feel good about that)and, brings in enough new fans and $$ to lift Trek back up.
