Why I think this is a BAD IDEA (if true)...
By Davy Pavel Chekov-Jones

I was hoping, from a character and storytelling standpoint, that STAR TREK XI would feature Leonard Nimoy's Spock towards the very end of his life, having outlived all his crewmates from the Enterprise and looking back on his life and career... maybe even include a scene where he lets his human half take over and he allows himself to cry over the friends he has lost and his being the "last one left."

Would have added some real poignancy to the film. Now George will be popping in??? I just don't see Spock and Sulu as old drinking buddies. Doesn't seem at ALL necessary.

Will too many TOS appearances turn STAR TREK XI into STAR TREK: GENERATIONS II?
