But does he have the voice?
By Doro

There are three alien stereotypes of Roddenberry's day that he adhered when he created Spock.

Aliens are 1. stronger than us, 2. smarter than as and 3. they can read our minds.

Any old actor could have pulled off #'s 2 and 3 just due to the writing. But the stronger part. No one would have believed that unless Leonard Nimoy was both tall and had that deep, authoritative voice. It went a long way to believing what today we call "techno babble" coming from less imposing actors.

Any actor playing Spock, even in a reboot, needs to have a deep authoritative voice to make him believable. I'm not sure if Quinto fills that bill, but he is a great actor.
