Paramount did not support ENT?.....
By OV-101

Scott is probably right to a point. Paramount did not seem to go all out for this series and the lack of quality control over Berman made it very difficult for the show to flurish. As time went on more and more Star Trek supporters within the studio heads were leaving and the new execs were going after a different audience. This makes for a lousy foundation to build a show like Star Trek.

Bakula: I think they will like it. I actually hope that it will be a great hit, so that all critics will see and realize what they let go. But ironically [...] these ENTERPRISE DVDs will be sold and watched somewhere on this world twenty years from now, but all those series now airing on UPN, won't be remembered. That's not meant with evil intent, but it's the nature of the genre!

I agree with Scott on this point. Whether the series will be remembered in a positive light is another story. I like Scott Bakula and he really is a fan of the genre so I do tend to give him some slack when he makes criticisms like this.

UPN must go!
