Bujold: The First Captain
By Black Narcissus

Quote:
I for one am glad we didn't have to listen to her deep, droning delivery for seven years. Mulgrew is snappy and decisive by comparison. Berman tip-toes around the reasons for her departure but I think it's easy enough to see it for ourselves: she just plain sucked.

Was she really that bad? Honestly?

I don't have access to the DVD special features so I can't form much of an opinion on her performance. However, I'm doubtful as to whether Bujod was that bad in the limited amount of footage presented in the featurette. Bujold herself was no flighty up-and-comer at the time of VOY season one so I'm greatly shocked to hear this savage criticism of her brief performance.

Was she worse than Marina Sirtis in season one of TNG? Now that was an awful display of acting skills, although in a certain sense it could be considered comical.
