Did you see, Mayweather had 2 lines!
By Yesterday's Lemmiwinks

Wow! At this rate, he'll catch up to any one of the MACOs at least by the end of the season! Poor Anthony... I wonder if they're screwing him over because they can't put together a script for him, or maybe he's just a REALLY bad actor and they give him at least one line each episode just to justify keeping his name in the opening credits. Anyway...

Long live Captain Archer! The guy is proving to be quite an asset to Starfleet. He even had me fooled until Degra was asleep and Archer used the hypo on him. Degra is a great character. It's really neat on how Archer's story seemed to be dead on about the internal struggles within the Xindi Council. When Archer spoke of the Insectoids' treachery, you could see that although he was a little shocked, Degra wasn't too suprised.

There was so much excitement in this episode because you really had no idea what was going to happen next. This is the most original script I think they've come out with since "Carbon Creek." Everybody seemed to be doing something this time around. T'Pol coordinating the operation; Hoshi in the captain's ear; Reed taking command of the bridge; Mayweather... um... Mayweather... oh that's right! Mayweather actually saying something! You got the feeling that they had trained for situations like this back at SF Command.

The fact that there wasn't an entourage of Xindi ships accompanying Degra shows that the Xindi don't seem to be that far off from Terrans in terms of technology and resources. Perhaps that's why they're opting to use a WMD on Earth rather than a conventional attack.

What is it with UPN's promotion department? Although I give them small kudos for masking the aged Archer footage as a "disturbing glimpse of the future," what the hell was all that about T'Pol; "The captain is away, so now she has the ship all to herself." WHAT?!?!?!

All in all, a wonderful outing. I've always liked ENTERPRISE more than most, but this was outstanding.
