Frakes and the Thunderbirds
By Scorned

Quote:"We're in a mad rush to get finished, and to test it before Christmas, and then to get the composer working on it,"

They shouldn't rush the movie. I see Frakes didn't learn a lesson from Nemesis Incident

Defintion of "Nemesis Incident"...
1) Rush the movie.
2) Don't promote it. Not even on your own network.
3) Release the film against 3 hugely successful and anticipated movies.
4) Have a poor story and bad editting.
5) When the movie bombs, just blame the fans.

Quote:"It will be in the theaters next summer, and we're hoping to have a trailer with 'Cat in the Hat'. It's just been the greatest experience."

It will get crushed by Spiderman II next summer. OH the problem of seeing which movie first "Spiderman II or Thunderbirds"? Oh now what will people choose??? I see Frakes doesn't see the problem with releasing a film against a "high anticipated monster flick". Didn't these people learn anything from the Nemesis incident?

I think I would prefer to see the puppets instead if Frakes has touched this project.

Quote:"Frakes, says the film will appeal to an audience similar to SPY KIDS here in the U.S."

So its a kiddie movie.

Quote:"I think it's like making the right Star Trek movie. You don't need to know anything about Picard or Riker to understand that they are on the Enterprise and are boldly going where no man has gone before."

I could just rip into this statement but the thing that saves him is when he said "where no man was gone before".

Quote:"The director got his start with episodes of THE NEXT GENERATION and he says he'd love to have an opportunity to helm an ENTERPRISE episode.

Sure why not. Can you really screw up ENT any more? As long as there is a big buffet table on the set. Frakes will be there.
