It is their fault
By dinzy

They should have screened the ad. They typically do that anyway so people cannot leave email addresses or phone numbers in an anttempt to circumvent others paying the fees to make contact. A ruling in favor of the actress would force these types of services to more carefully monitor the content of the site. Now anyone could be open to such a violation of privacy. Thousands of people view these ads every day. Hopefully these companies will take measures to prevent these things form happening out of a sense of duty rather than a legal one. Since the court couldn't care less.

And what kind of trashy person would post such a thing in the first place?

I hope she can appeal this decision because there are a lot of sickos out there that could take this incident as inspiration for other similar types of misuse of internet services.
