An 11th hour reprieve eh? That's serious!
By Deslok

I think this makes an excellent case for the removal of the faulty leadership that has driven the franchise into the ground.

The approach is wrong. They're not in touch with what audiences are watching on television today. The stories are generally unimaginative. I think that the amount of pre-existing material is an asset, but would only be so if used properly, they haven't really done that yet. Add to that the fact that they seem to have tried to purposely disappoint legions of fans. They know how the existing fans are going to react to using a Ferengi story the way they did, putting the Klingon homeworld so close to Earth in terms of being able to get there so quickly while using a warp 5 engine, and the list goes on and on and on...

I thought VOYAGER was the lowest that the Star Trek franchise could go, but that show started off great, and then declined after the departure of certain people.

It's such a shame that Paramount is willing to let this beloved franchise get trashed by the very people entrusted to keep it going.

I hold out hope that the storyline with the Xindi will prove to be related to the events that we saw in "THE THOLIAN WEB", but they have to make a lot of adjustments between now and the end of next season, and this includes one executive cleaning out his office.
