Topic: It was Alright
So I taped it and watched it. I'm always a sucker for a group investigating a mystery in some desolate area. Witness my love for Event Horizon, Alien vs. Predator and TNG's Night Terrors, which along with TNG's Genesis could be seen as a big inspiration for this series. So much of it is familiar.

I don't know if I'll stick around exactly though. I'm getting the impression that this will be like The 4400, but instead of mental powers, we'll start getting people with all sorts of X-Men abilities. It could be worth watching, but frankly I myself would only want to see a couple seasons before they wrap up the show.

And indeed I had a few questions afterwards. Namely: what are the odds that our genetic material matches up with the aliens so well that a signal would just add a bit or "unlock" all these powers that we somehow don't have access to? The first mate's line about being all connected might be a key to the bio-forming plot, because I would otherwise think that simply turning all of us into them wouldn't mean that the new aliens here would be of the same ideology.
