"The fans have spoken highly of the show this season, which is very encouraging to us, but the ratings don't reflect that, unfortunately"

That is true. The ratings don't reflect it yet but eventually they will crawl up slowly. It's a good sign when hardcore fans are more enthusiastic. It seems, popularity has to start from within and we have the opportunity to generate ripples throughout the scifi scene. Those who gave up on Star Trek years ago might give it another chance when we praise it. Apparently most people aren't easily perswayed by official channels. I won't blame them for that because promotions and advertising are just a sales-trick that doesn't really say anything about the product... But WE can spread the word. WE can make Star Trek survive or die, by "building" or "destroying" our friends' appetite.

We can "make or break" Star Trek, not literally, but we can build our friends appetite. If there was ever a need for us to work on that, it's now folks. Want a fifth season? Many of us do. Let us appriciate that Trek is still on the air - maybe just for another 2-3 months! Don't forget to tell your friends how cool ENT is and that ENT will return on UPN next friday!
