Love the trailer! | Report this post to moderator

This looks fantastic! I'm not sure why anyone would complain about this trailer.
It also looks like the villain is going to be a bit more three dimensional in this one, something I have long complained about in Star Trek movies.
I am an old goat and have followed TOS since it's inception. JJ Abrams has revitalized this franchise as it was falling apart under it's own weight. I did not care for TNG even with it's holier than thou humans that were almost impossible to relate to. DS9 was great but had little popular support
It's about time someone brought the franchise back to it's roots and brought some energy and excitement to it. People who purify and idealize Trek forget all the flaws TOS had.

Besides the image of the Enterprise dropping into the bay, it looks like a cop show.

STID is in 2259? | Report this post to moderator

I see early on it establishes the time frame as London, 2259.

First time we've seen a year, yes?

"You were right. Somebody blew out the hatch. They were all sucked out into space."
"Correction, sir, that's blown out."
"Thank you, Data."
"A common mistake, sir."
- Riker and Data get precise about the physics of rapid decompression into the vacuum of space

WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE PEOPLE?!

“In this galaxy, their is a mathematical probability of three million, million earth-type planets, and in all of that, only one of each of us.”
