Karl Urban Joins the Cast of J.J. Abrams Sci-Fi Cop Pilot

According to EW.com Star Trek Into the Darkness star Karl Urban
will star on Human, Star Trek director J.J. Abram’s drama pilot in contention for fall of 2013 on Fox.

Urban will play John Kennex, a respected police officer who has shut down emotionally after a tragic mission left him critically injured.

Human will be exec produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk and written by J.H. Wyman. The logline says its an action-packed buddy cop show, set in the near future, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids.

Sounds identical to the concept of Holmes & Yo-Yo and Mann & Machine. Hopefully third time will be the charm.
