Bryan Singer (X-Men Movies) has confirmed in a new interview that his proposed Battlestar Galactica movie has officially been put on hold. The project was first announced back in 2011 but never really gained any momentum, largely due to the popularity of the epic TV series reboot, which had only just ended.

Singer told Coming Soon:

“I have that one on hold for a moment, so hopefully, I’d love to be able to get back to that, but for now I’m just focused on this X-Men business.”

The full interview can be found at Coming Soon:

I'm sort of conflicted on how I feel about this project. First because of the tv reboot being so highly regarded and recent in minds. Secondly because like many fans of the old version I am still hoping for a reunion project.

I really don't know why Richard Hatch has never tried a web version of his continuation idea (like how the Trek fan films do).
