According to SciFi Pulse, Chris Doohan, the son of the late James Doohan, confirmed the news on Facebook that he will appear in Star Trek Into Darkness.
“A big thank you to my pal Simon Pegg,” said Doohan. “This would not have happened without him.” Doohan appeared in 2009′s Star Trek alongside Pegg at the transporter room controls.
Doohan also co-stars as Scotty in the fan film series Star Trek Continues. More details at the original article at Sci Fi Pulse
