A ten-minute preview clip has been released for the upcoming fourth movie of "Space Battleship Yamato 2199." It covers episodes 11 to 14 in the remake of the original 1974 series.

The third film called “Chapter 3: The Endless Voyage,” covering chapters seven to ten, was released on October 26, 2013. All three movies, spanning ten episodes, are currently available in Japan on DVD and Blu-Ray.

This 4th movie, called “Chapter 4: Offense and Defense o the Outer Reaches of the Galaxy,” covers episodes eleven to fourteen. After the theatrical viewing, this movie will be available on February 22, 2013 for DVD and Blu-Ray. The storyline for Space Battleship Yamoto 2199 remains the same as the original 1974 series: humanity is driven underneath Earth in a war against the Gamilos. With only one year left for humanity, according to scientists, a group of humans embark on the space battleship Yamato for a journey towards the planet Iscandar hoping to recover a special technology to defeat the Gamilos and restore planet Earth before humanity becomes extinct.
