New Synopsis of Star Trek Into Darkness Reveals New Plot Details - SPOILERS

According to Bleeding Cool, the latest issue of Empire Magazine, featuring Star Trek Into Darkness, and out in the US, contains this new description of the movie’s plot premise (BEWARE OF SPOILERS) :

With Earth under terrorist attack from Benedict Cumberbatch’s ex-Starfleet employee John Harrison, Kirk is this time forced into a rash decision that breaks a critical Starfleet command, puts his crew in danger & costs him his captain’s chair. Now out of uniform and dressed down in space civvies of black leather jackets and boots, our three heroes have separated from the Enterprise and headed off on a mission to try and rectify his mistake…

Very interesting this new plot detail.
I said a couple of weeks ago, this is not a ST film, but a Mission Impossible or James Bond or 24-like movie.
It seems it is. ST only in name.

Abrams, Orci and pals are general pulp writers. They write usual stuff. They substitued revolvers for desintegration rays or airplanes for spaceships. James Kirk is Ethan Hunt, Spock is James Bond Uhura is MonniePenny, Scott is Q and Alice Eve is the usual Bond-girl...

You can imagine this plot in a M:I movie or in a James Bond movie or in 24 (James T Kirk as Agent Jack Bauer, ex CTU boss in search for vendetta and restitution)

This is THE problem. Usual stuff for usual action movie. ST only in name, and science fiction movie only in name. ST universe is too big and too great for Abrams. So, he turns this universe into a very small thing: an usual action movie. Ok, Firework is great...!

Because of it, Enterprise is not the great bird of the galaxy but only an ornament. A dead bird.

À propos, no tricorders in this new "star trek"...Only guns.

Who writes this crap? All of the synopses I have read sound like they've been translated from another languge twice.

Who's "our three heroes"? Oh, anyone want to speculate on what rule Kirk breaks? You'd think Prime Directive but wouldn't that be too obvious?
